This worked very well for me. After a big computer crash I put a new hard drive in my Acer Aspire laptop. It is also nice to have your own DVD of Windows 7, which places like Fry's don't include with your computer purchase anymore. It was a smooth install, like butter. The DVD is white color with black lettering on it. It says intended for distribution with a refurbished computer PC. It includes Service Pack 1 on it, which it automatically installs. It is 64 bit.

It comes in a clear plastic DVD case. It has a small piece of paper inside with the product key. If you have good eyesight no problem, otherwise you will need a magnifying glass to read it. Fortunately the install never even asked for the product key, it just installed without it. Based on how well it installed with no hassles I have to give it a 5 star review.

My only problem was that after ordering it took about 4 days before they shipped. Most Amazon prime ship pronto, but this took a little longer. Other than that, it was a nice purchase and I am very happy with the product. I ordered this directly from Amazon, not from a third party seller. The installation was as smooth as buttah. I got this to replace a windows 8 install on a store bought laptop as I checked before buying that windows 7 drivers were available and now I am glad I did.

The system now runs flawless. Just be sure to disable secure boot in the bios and enable legacy boot or it will not work. Windows 7 has no support for secure boot. I gave up on windows 8. If you are looking to add the windows environment on your Mac using Boot Camp, I can tell you this version of Windows worked well for me. You will need to add a separate wireless antenna like a usb stick because the Windows drivers only recognize a few of the hardware items in the Mac.

Didn't recognize the internal wireless adapter, nor the internal speakers. It does recognize the CAT5 slot for a wired connection and all of the usb slots. It did not recognize the thunderbolt slot. I intalled Windows 7 to replace Windows Vista on my Lenovo desktop.
