I am using Outlook and also, try to give another user access to my root folder as none and Folder Visible. Based on my knowledgeif we wanted to access the sub folders in anyone of the users mailboxwe need to provide the same permission to the top information store of the mailbox otherwise sub folder will not be accessible.
So providing the permissions only on the sub folder is not enough. Same time permissions wpecified on the root folder of the mailbox will not get inherited to the sub folders on that mailbox.
Finally we need to provide the same permissions separately on the top information store as well as on sub folder of that particular mailbox. Hi, When we share a folder with others, we need to grant Folder Visible permission on the root folder of the Exchange mailbox.
Instructions for granting Locaation Visible permission As the manager, do the following in Outlook: Right-click the root folder of the Exchange mailbox, and then click Change Sharing Permissions.
